- Whenever this Privacy Policy mentions device, it refers to any internet connected device such as a phone, tablet, computer or any other device that can be used to access JodimNotes.
- Whenever this Privacy Policy mentions you, your and yours, it refers to the person, company or organization that access JodimNotes.
- Whenever this Privacy Policy mentions account, it refers to the account that is created and registered when you sign up on JodimNotes.
- Whenever this Privacy Policy mentions product, it refers to JodimNotes’ Creation Plan, which grants you the ability to add new journal entries on your account. I sell this product on JodimNotes with subscriptions via recurring payments.
- Whenever this Privacy Policy mentions third-party services, it refers to my partners that provide services to help me create, develop and distribute JodimNotes.
IMPORTANT Hello! I am Joziel, the JodimNotes creator and developer. When you use JodimNotes, you’re trusting me with your personal information, which includes all of your journal entries. I understand this is a big responsibility, so I work hard to protect your personal information and put you in control.
Privacy is Paramount. The privacy of your personal information is my priority. I recognize the importance of privacy and the sensitivity of personal information, so, I am committed to protecting yours.
This Privacy Policy outlines how your personal information is collected, used, managed, and disclosed by me, as well as how I safeguard your privacy, when you access JodimNotes.
I never sell, lease, license, trade or rent any of your personal information with third parties, nor share your personal information in ways that are not described in this Privacy Policy, nor view any of your journal entries, because doing so would violate this Privacy Policy and the ethos of my business, as well as my own.
Your Consent This Privacy Policy applies to JodimNotes. By accessing or using JodimNotes, registering an account, or purchasing my product, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to my collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and my
Terms of Service.
I collect some personal information from you when you visit, access and/or use JodimNotes:
- User Name: I collect your chosen user name for your account and submit it to my authentication service provider when you create your account and whenever you change your account’s user name. I also submit your user name to my payment service provider if you try to buy my product and whenever you change your account’s user name after trying to buy my product.
- Email Address: I collect your chosen email address for your account and submit it to my authentication service provider when you create your account and whenever you change your account’s email address. I also submit your email address to my payment service provider if you try to buy my product and whenever you change your account’s email address after trying to buy my product.
- Password: I collect your chosen password for your account and submit it to my authentication service provider when you create your account and whenever you change your account’s password.
- Journal Entries: Whenever you add a new journal entry or update an existing one, I will collect it and submit it to my computer database service provider. Whenever you decide to access and manage your journal entries on JodimNotes, I may need to collect them from my computer database service provider in order to transfer them to your device.
Local Data Storage I use the localStorage property of your web browser to save your personal preferences when accessing JodimNotes.
The localStorage property of your web browser makes it possible to store a small piece of data on your device. I use the localStorage property of your web browser to enhance JodimNotes’ performance and functionality, but this property is non-essential to its use.
Most web browsers can be set to disable the use of the localStorage property. However, without this property, I will not be able to remember your personal preferences, so, I might need to reset JodimNotes’ settings to their default values from time to time.
I never store any personally identifiable information with the localStorage property of your web browser.
Payment When you buy my product and whenever you update your personal information on the customer portal provided by my payment service provider for JodimNotes, you will need to provide my payment service provider with personal and sensitive payment processing details and information, including but not limited to, your debit/credit card numbers, expiry dates, security codes, billing address, state, province and country of residence.
All of these supplied personal and sensitive payment processing details and information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into my payment service provider database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential and stored in the most secure manner possible.
Using Your Information Any of the personal information I collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- For the purpose of providing you with JodimNotes and my product.
- To communicate with you about your account and to provide you with information related to JodimNotes.
- To personalize your experience. Your information helps me to better respond to your individual needs.
- To improve and administer JodimNotes and its features. I continually strive to improve JodimNotes’ offerings based on the information and feedback I receive from you.
- To improve customer service. Your information helps me to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
- To process transactions.
- To send periodic emails.
Emails By submitting your email address on JodimNotes, you agree to receive emails from me. You can cancel your participation in any of these email lists at any time by clicking on the opt-out link or other unsubscribe option that is included at the bottom of the respective email.
I only send emails to people who have authorized me to contact them, either directly, or through a third party. I do not send unsolicited commercial emails, because I hate spam as much as you do.
If you purchase my product, your email address will be used for the purpose of sending you information and updates pertaining to your purchase of my product.
When you send emails, messages or other communications to me, I may retain those communications and any information contained therein to process your inquiries, respond to requests and improve JodimNotes.
Transferring Your Information I operate and control JodimNotes from my office in Brazil. Information collected or submitted by you via JodimNotes, may be transferred from time to time to my office, and/or to my third-party services, which are located throughout the world, and may be viewed and hosted anywhere in the world, including countries that may not have laws of general applicability regulating the use and transfer of such data.
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, by using JodimNotes, you voluntarily consent to the trans-border transfer and hosting of such information.
Securing Your Information I implement a variety of security measures and take precautions to protect, secure and maintain the safety of your personal information. I offer the use of secure servers and have physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to help safeguard, prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use your personal information.
However, neither people nor security systems are foolproof, including encryption systems. People can commit intentional crimes, make mistakes or fail to follow policies. So, while I use reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, I cannot, ensure, guarantee or warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit to me or guarantee that your personal information on JodimNotes may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by a breach of any of my physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.
If applicable law imposes any non-disclaimable duty to protect your information, you agree that intentional misconduct will be the standards used to measure my compliance with that duty.
Managing Your Information You have the right to request the restriction of certain uses and disclosures of personally identifiable information, by

- Receive any information I have about you.
- Update or correct your personally identifiable information.
- Change your preferences with respect to communications and other information you receive from me.
- Delete the personally identifiable information maintained about you on my systems, by deleting your account.
Promptly after receiving your request, you should be aware that all of your personal information collected by me will be updated, corrected, changed or deleted, as appropriate, as soon as and to the extent reasonably and technically practicable. I will let you check and/or notify you through JodimNotes, by a confirmatory email, or other appropriate means of communication when the process is complete.
To protect your privacy and security, I may take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as reauthentication requests, before granting you profile access or making corrections. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique account password and account information at all times.
Disclosing Your Information I shall disclose your personal and non-personal information if I have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to:
- Satisfy any applicable court order, law, rule and regulation, as well as any claim, subpoena, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
- Protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of me, JodimNotes’ users, or the public as required or permitted by law.
- Enforce myTerms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof.
- To prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity.
- Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
Any of your personal information that you make available to others, including, but not limited to, personal information in your account, granting access to others to all or part of your account or sending messages to other people, is done so at your own risk. Any personal information that is posted or sent by you is the sole responsibility of you and I shall not be held responsible for any personal information or other information that you make public.
Keeping Your Information I keep your personal information only so long as I need it to provide JodimNotes to you and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This is also the case for my third-party services that I share your personal information with.
When I no longer need to use your personal information and there is no need for me to keep it to comply with my legal or regulatory obligations, I will either remove it from my systems or depersonalize it so that I can’t identify you.
Third-Party Websites JodimNotes may contain third-party links, which are links to third-party websites, which are websites that are not operated or controlled by me.
This Privacy Policy applies only to JodimNotes. Please remember that if you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to another website referenced by that third-party link, where this Privacy Policy is no longer in effect.
Your browsing and interaction on any third-party website, including those that have a link on JodimNotes, is subject to that third-party website’s own rules and policies. Such third-party websites may use their own methods to collect information about you. I strongly advise you to check out and review the Privacy Policy of every website you visit.
Minors I do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided me with personal data, please
contact me.
If I become aware that I have collected personal data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, I will take steps to remove that information from my systems. In the event that I am aware of any account belonging to a user under the age of 13 I will delete all personal information and other information related to such user and delete their account.
I require that minors between the ages of 13 and 18 years, ask their parents or legal guardians for permission before creating an account and/or send any personal information about themselves to me, and such parents or legal guardians must agree to this Privacy Policy on behalf of such minors.
Revisions In an effort to comply with changes in technology, and the adoption of new regulations and laws, I may need to apply revisions to this Privacy Policy so that it accurately reflects JodimNotes and its policies. These revisions may be applied by me at any time at my sole discretion, which may change, modify and/or replace this Privacy Policy.
Unless otherwise required by law, before I apply any revision to this Privacy Policy, I will notify you through JodimNotes, by a confirmatory email, or other appropriate means of communication, and give you an opportunity to review the new and revised Privacy Policy before it goes into effect.
If a revision to this Privacy Policy is a material change, I will provide at least a 30 days’ notice prior to any new version of this Privacy Policy taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at my sole discretion.
If I decide to change this Privacy Policy with any revision, I will post the changes on this page on the date when that revision is supposed to go into effect, and update the last revision date of this Privacy Policy at the beginning of this page.
By continuing to access or use JodimNotes after any revision to this Privacy Policy become effective, you agree to acknowledge, accept and be bound by the new and revised Privacy Policy posted on this page.
If you do not agree to this or any revised version of this Privacy Policy, you are no longer authorized to use JodimNotes and can delete your account.
